We have been in Oregon since the first part of August. We have had a lot of fun. Went to the Oregon jamboree saw Tim McGraw-Wow.

Kristy Lee Cook, American Idols contestant that placed 7th last year and should have won. She was great..

Many other county singers were also there and we had a great time with Neil and Shirley.

Jerry turned 69 on the first of August. He is doing well.

Danny got here on the 5th of August and stayed until August 22nd. We took a trip to the coast so Danny could have some fun fishing. What he ended up doing was ‘crabbing’. So, for two days we had crab for snacks.


We also went to see the Albany Carousel. They are building a traditional Victorian carousel. All animals, carousel parts and various other items are carved by hand by volunteers. The project is estimated to take 7 to 10 years to complete. There will be 54 different animals.

We visited the state Capitol in Albany which was very nice. As with almost all the capitols, this two was the third one while the fist two burnt down. We could not see the governor’s office because there was a recent fire there and it was under construction. We were able to go up to the tower and walk around. A beautiful view of Albany from there.

This weekend we are staying to see the hot air balloon festival. We leave here on Monday heading towards Florida with who knows what stops between here to there. I will keep you posted.
