September 2- Littleton, NH

Incredible, Beautiful, Gorgeous! Our arrival to New England has been just awesome. We came to see the fall colors and we arrived at the perfect time. Multiple stages of brilliant fall foliage colors are everywhere you look. When we first arrived in Littleton, New Hampshire there was a tint of colors on the trees. We have been here one week and it is incredible how things have changed. It is hard to describe the colors that we have seen. Beautiful, incredible, awesome, gorgeous and other adjective does not seem to describe how beautiful it is here. We are constantly saying wow or oh my gosh. The red trees are so bright they almost hurt your eyes. Put all together with the greens, yellows, oranges it is just so beautiful.

We have had quite a week here and although it has rained almost non-stop it has not stopped us from enjoying this area. In fact the second night we were here it started raining after we got the fire started. It took forever to get the fire going so we refused to go in and sat there with umbrellas in the rain. We had a great time and laughed a lot.


One morning we found a great little breakfast place called Polly’s Pancake Parlor. It has been run by the same family since 1938 and they claim to have the best pancakes in America. They serve you 3" wide pancakes multiple options, including plain, buckwheat, whole wheat, cornmeal, oatmeal, and buttermilk. Then you get to choose items to add to them such as, blueberries, walnuts, coconut and chocolate chips. The waitress or waiter takes your order and then goes back and cooks them herself. They serve only three at a time so you always have warm pancakes. We had a lot of fun and good food.


We did a several tours one day, starting with the Cabot’s Cheese factory. We ate enough cheese samples that we considered that our breakfast. We then went to see the Capitol building in Montpelier, Vermont. It is the smallest Capitol city in America with 8,411 residents in the city. After that we needed desert so we went to Ben and Jerry’s factory and ate ice cream.

Well, tomorrow we are moving on again. I just checked the foliage forecast in the area we are going and it is not yet in full color. So we will continue to see the beautiful scenery as we travel.
